"Iron Man" gets heavy start at box office
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - "Iron Man," the latest Marvel comics title brought to the big screen, grossed an estimated $32.5 million from its first full day in North American theaters, independent box office analysts reported on Saturday. That tally, generated from Friday showings in some 4,100 U.S. and Canadian cinemas, put "Iron Man" on track to meet or exceed the $85 million-plus opening weekends posted by sequels to two other Marvel franchises -- "Spider-Man" and "X-Men."

I saw Iron Man May 1st- It was a fantastic movie. The action was great, the acting was great, the storyline good. Most of the movie was actually believable. It was kind of cool that the main character was old(ish) compared to most other comic book/ super hero movies. That way we don't have to deal with the young teenager's stupidity or love plot (though there is some in this movie it's not the same). It is definitely worth going to see- however it's not worth paying for it more than that one time.

If you like the Marvel exaggerated hero powers then you will like this film. The acting and animation were all up to par, but the storyline was a bit out of taste for me. The most unbelievable was of course how the Iron Man suit was actually created.
The other thing that bothered me was Iron Man flying all over California like a missile with no air force interception. That was only brought up when he was over Afghanistan.
