I remember when I was a child I looked in the phone book and found an adult with the name Gayla. Just the two of us did I ever hear the name. Never knew anything about it. I was made fun of with the name because people had a hard time with it.

I think its a cool name, very medieval sounding as well which makes it even cooler. Why would they have a hard time pronouncing it when it has just two syllables.
