A Levels Too Easy? UFO & Writing Art Education Sciences

Every year, GCSE results are published and shortly after, the press report on how they are becoming easier.

Every year, A-Level results are published, and shortly after, the press report on how they are becoming easier.

Every year, graduation results are published, and shortly after the press report on how the value of the degree is decreasing.

These reports are demoralising fot the people who have worked so hard to attain good grades, and just want to (and quite rightly so) celebrate their achievements. There is no truth in these reports, it is simply a fallacy that the exams are getting easier. The reasoning behind the increasing results, is better teaching, and more pressure being put on young people to work harder to achieve better academic qualifications, yet it seems that there is a positive correlation between the increasing work efforts of young people in the UK, and the press slating their achievements.

I have to agree that I find it grossly unfair for people to slate the yearly results, especially as they do it year in year out, and these people don't see the amount of work that young people have to go to, to achieve these results, simply put, I find it insulting to the young people, and it must be very disappointing for them when people start to put their good results down to 'easier' exams!
