People's willingness to talk loudly on mobile phones and reveal personal information about themselves online indicates that the privacy laws may require a rethink, says Australia's top judge, Murray Gleeson.

I never gave it much thought before as I always thought any information said in public out loud was not public domain information. That is if you say out loud in public all your personal information then any one can us it as if you had given your consent for them to have it.
