Guy, 25, was chopped on the street outside his home at Robert Street, Chase Village, Chaguanas on Tuesday night.
The security officer, died at the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex on Wednesday morning.
An eyewitness told police that Guy was involved in a fight with a female relative when her brother intervened and chopped Guy on the head, neck and back.
