Every country claims they have the most beautiful women in the world, here the people are no different, but for me these ladies do NOT reflect the women you will see walking down the street on a typical day, in other words they are not the average, they are the rare, the unique, the hidden, the exception that you may only find in certain designated places.

Agreed!
Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia, etc and other places without a European majority tend to choose a 'quasi'European phenotype because it represents a chance to win in the international marketplace of beauty. Many times the native beauty of a location has excellent feminine attributes but sadly the colour and phenotype expression of the contestant!
I would like a see a dark skin Indian woman represent India in international beauty competition, similar to the beauteous woman on the street as opposed to the fair skin representation often portrayed in stage and screen! All women are beautiful, nonetheless!

Yes! Ms Walcott is an excellent contender for the international competition.

What streets do you walk down JB? Maybe you should check out my friends and I and you'll take back your words.

The same streets everyone else walks. Just the fact that I would have to 'meet' you is proof of what I'm saying, it should not be a special meeting, you should just be able to walk outside your door and see beauty, but it is not so, at least not for me. Maybe for those who whistle and holler after women, of course anything looks good to them even dogs.

JB,
It may depend on what part of T&T you are living!
I am originally from Diego (Martin) and I would see seem in Petit Valley, Carenage,
Long Circular (used to have an aunt living there-behind the Police Barracks), Westmoorings area and assorted areas of T&T.

Well I do not live in the West, attend pubs at night or go much to malls where you might see them. Where I live I see very the opposite to that photo!

As for the actual contestants how did we do / are doing?

Funny enough I was commenting to LDS_forever that some of the women in the audience looked better than the ones on the stage.

So Trinidad women are ugly?

I agree that every country says they have the most beautiful women. I also think that such a point is becoming cliche, but I personally see quite a few women on an everyday basis that I find cute or attractive.

You seem to have a knack for adding in your conclusion without any facts to back up your statements. Where oh where did I say that Trinidad women are ugly? You are actually presupposing the opposite... that I am saying the women being Discussed are beautiful? Additionally, learn how to use the quote tags as I only just realized you were quoting me.

Anya did not do well. I was actually quite surprised at her poor performance, maybe she needed more time to train? She couldn't even walk properly and her smile was way made up (fake).

Gabrielle haven't participated yet, she was supposed to go to Ukraine on September but the organizers of Miss World canceled it due to the Russia-Georgia conflict, they re-scheduled for November I think in a location they haven't said as yet.
