Car dealer gets $9.4m in 'Taleban Toyota' slander

The owner of a large southwest Alabama car dealership derided as "Taleban Toyota" by a competitor has been awarded US$7.5 million (NZ$9.4m) in damages after a jury trial for his slander claim. Ref. Source 7

That's outright wrong and racist. I'm glad he won the case and I hope others will be on their guard before they start slandering people for the sake of money.

I too am glad that he won the court case. It's terrible to think how low some people will sink to outdo their main competitor, and I'm guessing that it did serious damage to the Toyota dealers business... Business that in this climate, I'm sure he was desperate for.
