How do you rate the A&E documentary called, 'Psychic Kids: Children of the Paranormal'? What are your thoughts about the children's experiences?

Comments: I believe that the children's parents fed their active imaginations. My 14 year old son caught onto this without my saying a word.

Then A&E and Chip Coffey team up and feed their delusions even further. Notice that the more attention the kids received the greater their number of claimed powers.

One claims they saw a spirit, another says she felt it.

Is it possible that they claim these gifts to receive attention? I bet that if someone encouraged their natural gifts such as music, art, math etc and helped them to experience the joy of achievement, they'd no longer need to dwell on such things.

Let's assume, for the sake of argument, they don't really possess such powers. Once you affirm their every claim of paranormal powers, you make it tougher for them to bow out.

They might even feel like they'd be letting their parents and the camp counselors down.

A&E should be ashamed for exploiting these kids.

I saw this, but I found that it does very little in the way of providing ewvidence that children can see ghosts.

Comments: I don't think it was produced very well and it didn't really show me very much in terms of what the kids' true gifts are (a little bit, but there could have been more), and I think it's ludicrous to think that these kids are making this up. Yes, they may have said they saw things when chip went around the group and asked who saw something (kids do that), but I definitely don't think they are making up the fact they have this gift.

I saw the show and the first thing I thought was that they were doing exercises that normally psychologists do, nothing about paranormal powers but exercises to see how far the brain can reach.

Comments: I was a child that experienced some of what these children are experiencing. I couldn't tell anyone, because I was afraid none would believe me or think I was crazy. I eventually got older and it stopped after a priest prayed over my home and myself. I am happy to see these children have someone to talk to about this especially with other children. This is far more common than we realize and I a was not and am not now mentally ill. Have an open mind....

Comments: I seen the show but I have a friend and her kids going through some of the things the those kids are. My friends child is only 4 though and he says he sees all these things when he sleeps he has dreams about her and the father and other people. He can read a book and all he has to do is flip through it. I don't think it has any thing to do with wither there psychic or not I thing there just really smart.

Comments: I thought this was very interesting I have had my own experience with the paranormal for some time. I saw princess diana having a car accident involving a drunk driver. I knew a child was going to die flying with his father around the world I tried to call the tv station to stop them but to no avail. I have had very strange things happen to me sense a child its nice to know people are finally starting to listen.
It was stronger when I was a child. It still happens know and then. But only seldom.
