CHARITY EVENT TURNS TRAGIC AS RACE CAR KILLS 4

A drag-racing vehicle went out of control during a parade and spun into a crowd of bystanders in Selmer, Tenn., on Saturday, killing four people and injuring up to 15, authorities said.

Very sad, and what is more is that a lot more money will now have to be paid to the family of the victims rather than to the charities for which the event intended to raise.

What a tragedy! You are right JB the pending lawsuits will far exceed any monies raised.

I do have to question where the drivers head was. Yes doing a bur out is a real audience grabbing stunt but also inappropriate where no crash barriers exist. A real foolish move on the drivers part, that person should have known better. I can not imagine the burden on the soul that person will carry for life.
