Traveling In The Developing World

I never did that. But, if anyone has, tell me how is like traveling in those countries? Seeing the mass of poverty(while you are rich),roughing it getting from point A to B, and the lack of general neccessities.

How does that impair(or improve), your travels?

World Developing The Traveling

The question is far to general. Most of the world is developing so the answer will have to be unique for each country. I can speak for all the developing countries I have lived in:

In each of the following cases staying near cities and large towns is best, if you venture into an urban area then you are pretty much on your own.

Trinidad: Moving around here is quite easy. All forms of transportation is available. The thing to do is to be careful of hiring private transport, they can rob you (literally).

Venezuela: All forms of transportation is available, but the corruption level is so high that in certain places I have heard that you have to pass some US to get pass the military, etc.

Argentina: All forms of transport available with the most popular being a 'Remis' which is expensive. It is a hired car that takes you where you want to go. For a foreigner the cost is nothing, but for the people living their it is a lot, so often more than one person takes a Remis to share the cost.
