Organisers of the first Mr Gay China pageant say police forced them to cancel the event, one hour before it was to open. Ref. Source 7

It is obvious that the government was not happy with the idea of a gay pageant and that's why they canceled it, I do not believe for a minute that the reason is because the pageant did not follow the proper procedures.

Comments: No, they were just too open and the laws about the gay wedding is still considering, they can get marriage underground or just not, just being boyfriends together forever till the laws coming out soon. And what I can say is: Well, if you view some news about how China does what but in fact it doesn't represent all the Chinese or government,because they don't have time for against this thing and they are so busy with doing other business. And still,it's not the Chinese policemen came out to stop the gay marriage,because they are not police,they are "Cheng Guan" , un-offical cure people,some of them,maybe they hated gay too much so they did this,you know,many Chinese doesn't like "Cheng Guan" a lot,and our government officers doesn't dare to pay attention to "Cheng Guan"too
