This is one of the most disturbing cases I have read in a while. How come the driver could not hear the screams for help from this girl? How come none of the children in the bus said or did anything? It is unbelievable because is all recorded in camera!

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Murfreesboro police said a high school senior raped a younger student on a school bus. Police said the 14-year-old girl, a Riverdale High School freshman, was assaulted as she rode home last Wednesday. Detectives said 18-year-old Brandon Stover sat next to the girl, forced her up against the window before he fondled and raped her. "There's a 14-year-old girl who was on a bus and on the ride home, she is repeatedly sexually assaulted over and over again and, in fact, raped," said Murfreesboro Police spokesman Kyle Evans. "I'm trying to drive this bus, to get the kids home safe and the traffic in Rutherford County," said Joe Bond, who drives school bus No. 187. "And I glance back to make sure nobody's standing up, jumping around or having a fight." Bond said there were about 60 students on board at the time and he didn't notice an assault happening. Police said the incident was recorded on the bus surveillance camera. "This girl she screamed, "No, stop it, leave me alone,'" Evans said. The video, which was not released to the media, shows the girl fighting back and screaming for help. The victim's family reported the incident Thursday. Stover admitted to assaulting her, but denied raping her. His family declined comment on the incident. He was charged with sexual battery and rape. He is free on $19,000 bond. He was expelled.... |

I feel that the boy and the driver should both be charged. The girl was calling for help and the adult bus driver just let her be harmed. He could have put a stop to the assault before it turned into a rape. They both should now be held responsible. The boy is now going to be raped himself so he will get to 'experience' what he did to her. Maybe he will understand then that it is wrong.
