Wood Stains

Which color wood stain do you prefer for your furniture? Any particular brand?

Stains Wood

I used to love dark wood stain, but now I have come to understand the importance of having a light color for wood. So a clear stain varnish is the best in my opinion.

Wood Stains Reviews Consumer & Travel Family Culture

I used to love the color of mahogany for wood, but these days prefer something much lighter.
I tend to go for something like a light beech, or mellow pine.
I bought a book case with some christmas money that I had, and it was untreated pine. I bought some ronseal wood stain to do it with, but once the book case was built, I had a change of mind, and decided to just leave it natural and have been pleased with it so far. The good thing about it is that I can always change its appearance at a later date.

(I wouldn't recommend this for anything else as it could get water damaged etc, but for books it's okay)
