Paper Napkin or Cloth Napkin
Which one do you prefer to use and why: Paper Napkin or Cloth Napkin?
If it is just me and my family the paper napkins or even a slice of paper towel will work. I am not really into a cloth napkin on a daily basis because of the laundry. Plus with kids I would have to have a lot of napkins. Now If I am entertaining I will bring out the better dishes and fancy cloth napkins. I think it adds some style to a dinner table. Maybe even helps impress my guests. That is my thoughts on this.
Just like KNtoran, if I am at home and every day use I rather paper napkins but if I have people over, then I would rather cloth napkins, if gives a nice "touch" to the table.
When I was being brought up, my family used to eat every meal together at the table which was set with a fancy cloth tablecloth, and matching cloth napkins (we call them serviettes-- which I gather has a completely different meaning in the US )
I saw how much washing and laundering this involved for my Mum, so I only use paper napkins unless it's a special occasion or guests are visiting!
