Truth or Friendship

Which one is the most important in your country's society? Consider that some societies rather not know the reality of an event or process as part of the culture.

NOTE: keep in mind this is not about your person feelings, but your country's society and their choice.

Friendship Truth

I really think the almighty dollar is, but between truth and friendship, I have to go with friendship being the most important in the society I live in.

In so many instances it's not what kind of person you are, or what you do, it's who you are friends with. People get way with a lot (including lying) because they have the right friends in the right places. There's a word for it, it's called networking and it's how many people gain success and get out of trouble.

An example: I know for a fact (through a reliable source) that police will lie to back each other up and support their own kind. Therefore, friendship prevails over truth.

Also, I could be wrong, but it seems truly honest people don't seem to have as many friends.
