Amputee

For humans, losing a limb means a serious adjustment in life, how do you or your loved one cope as an Amputee?

As for myself or my family we have never had this to deal with. I did however several years ago bowl with a young man that lost his leg and had a fake leg. He was actually a very good bowler. From what I understand he still to this day has problems with tenderness in his knee where his leg was amputated. He spent 3 years learning to walk on a fake leg and have the ability to actually job and bowl and many other athletic activities. I know he missed several large events due to problems with his leg but he never lost heart. He knew it would always be a challenge but he never gave up on doing more.
