Watching this last night at work I found it interesting that his only concern is now to take time to get the trust of his family back. He is going to take time away from his job and spend time with his family. He should be fired as Governor and the LT. Governor brought in until a special election can hire a new governor. Or if the time is short let the Lt. governor sit as acting Governor until the next election.

This is is most definitely a reason to step down, the one honorable thing he can do.

As for the Lt. Governor, if he takes his place then he will be the first Black Governor of New York, but the most interesting is that he is legally blind.

One-term New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer, known as tough on crime and corruption, could be stepping down from his post after a federal investigation of his financial activity revealed that he was the client of a prostitution ring. Silda Wall Spitzer stood by her husband as he issued a public apology yesterday. She's not the first wife of a powerful politician to stand by her unfaithful man. ABC's Dan Harris reports.
