Private school teens binge drink more
Teenagers from Christchurch's single-sex, fee-paying schools are particularly prone to binge drinking, surveys suggest.

I think it's a bit of a generalisation, determining how much people drink, based on their educational institutions. Of course students in fee paying schools are likely to have more money to buy more alcohol, than students in non-feeing schools, as their parents (generally) have higher salaries.
One could argue a far better constructed point however, that it is the geographical location of the said school which most affects the alcohol consumption levels of the students within that particular school.
