Slap Butt Day

I do not understand these stupid games that children invent. Basically, during Slap Butt Day children go around slapping each other's butt. Young boys (primary age) who did this ended up in jail for five days for doing so even thought it was a consensual game among some primary school children. What are your thoughts?

This definitely sound like a 5 year old to 8 type game that they would think of especially boys. It is of course unacceptable behavior but to me it does sound like a young boy game that boredom would come up with, in a spur of the moment.

It sounds like this was much bigger then this, since jail time was issued. Sounds like some small fun was taken up one level and sever hitting was occurring not just a tag in the butt buy a friend. Given that schools are hands off this should have been stopped long before it became an issue. It sounds to me like some one in charge was sleeping at the wheel and allowed harassment to occur.
