Dowth
Do you feel there is something mystical about Dowth that makes it more than just a location for the burial of the ancients?

I have never visited Irish Dolmen such as Dowth.
But we have many in Wales.
On Anglesey we have two famous ones.
The first is in Llanddanel-fab, it is Bryn Celli Ddu; an ancient mound uncovered to reveal a collection of stones.
A great sacrilege was performed by taking the carved celtic stone from here to the Museum in Cardiff. They say the intent was to protect it; but why not build a Museum on Anglesey?
The second is bigger, and well preserved; Barclodiad y Gawres in Rhosneigr to the north of the Island. You can step inside this mound; the key is kept by a local trustee. "Barclodiad y Gawres" means "Apron of the Giantess" - It is a very sacred site for Pagans from all over Britain.
