CANADIANS VIE FOR SPACE ELEVATOR VICTORY
A clutch of Canadian competitors is rising to the challenge in a NASA-funded contest that could eventually make a trip to space as easy as taking an elevator ? literally.

An elevator to space? Sounds like something geared for science fiction. We can barely get rockets off the ground, however all power to the Canadians if they accomplish it.

Space Elevator UFO & Writing Art Education Sciences
I think the space elevator will be something that can be achieved. We have the techology we just need to put it all in place. This will save a lot of money in fuel costs just to get a ship into orbit. If we can use that fuel to push a ship to the astroid belt and back to collect needed minerlas we can further aim for the stars.
