Marine reunited with his war dog
CAMP PENDLETON - They spent months in an Iraqi war zone cementing a special bond. But after more than a month apart, Marine Maj. Brian Dennis began to worry if Nubs the dog would still remember him, especially in a new place like San Diego. Their reunion before dawn yesterday at Camp Pendleton clearly showed otherwise.

I am glad they are back together. I think the bond that a military dog has with its counterpart is great. Just like the bond that is between a dog and a regular person. Most pets will not forget about its first long time owner. Keeping the two together will help prevent stress on the dog.
I am very happy they are back together. A dog and man have a very unique bond and if broken it can be the death of the dog. Some will just stop eating and die, a truly broken heart.
