A groundbreaking study published in 2006 in The New England Journal of Medicine, which claimed up to 80 percent of lung cancer cases could be prevented with CT scans, was today revealed to have been underwritten, in part, by a cigarette company. An investigation uncovered what some say is an undisclosed conflict of interest in the study, which was authored by Dr. Claudia Henschke of Weill Cornell Medical College.
I believe the cigarette companies have been covering things up for a long time. They will not tell you all the additives they have added to their cigarettes to make them addictive. They will not even tell you that since the many lawsuits they have upper the additives to make cigarette smoking even more addictive. But that is just from rumors I have heard.
Dems cure for lung cancer: more cigs
Stock markets took a dive yesterday and the President blamed greedy Wall Street executives for causing the problems with the economy. Obama's solution? More regulation and more spending! He's pushing Chris Dodd's financial bill through Congress, and he's trying to jam through a $200 billion 'jobs' (read: stimulus) bill through as well. This is about as crazy as a doctor telling a lung cancer patient to start smoking 4 packs of cigarettes a day Ref. Source 2
