I had my mobile phone with me, which has a camera in it.
But I just gawped like a lemon! This was the first UFO I had seen and the photo would be rubbish anyway. Mabe I'll never see one again.

To capture a picture such as a moving object at night take very specialized equipment and I agree your phone would have caught another blur at best. At least you know what you seen and I am sure it has changed your own thoughts in life greatly.

Yes a UFO once identified is no longer a phenomena but a known. It is also no longer a UFO at that time it is KFO. A known flying object and might even have a nice name like a plane.

One of the two I saw can not be called a plane. I do not know what to call it. I was topping a mountain pass and it came up the other side at the same time. It had sound and I was able to see it. It was a clear day and if I had not hit the brakes and swerved I would have driven off the side of a mountain. I had no real thoughts of what it was as it kept rising and then disappearing into the sky. Nothing I have seen thus far in in my life to that day can explain what I saw. I do not it was not a paranormal experiance and it was a solid object. My thought on this is they are two very different things.

I think a lot of what we see is just top secret military test vehicles and not really UFOs and therefore not anything paranormal just unusual for what we're used to.

This is a plausible theory.
Aircraft such as the ceramic, methane engined HALO spyplanes are a myth until you see one. Then it's a UFO, not at all remarkable really.

Where I was at the time I saw mine I doubt it was a secret military aircraft. If it was it was not a allied one. It had no markings I could see on it like most do.
