Happy New Year everybody! May it be a good year for everybody!

We stayed up late to welcome in the new year, and to watch all the fireworks going off all around the area. There were a lot of fireworks this year, and I enjoyed watching them.
Before that, we watched a really good funny film, and just spent a quiet evening at home, which was really nice.

I only have one new years resolution this year, and that is part of another thread to read the whole Bible this year. I started on target yesterday, and have already done todays portion. I know it's early days yet though, and there's still a long, long way to go!

1. I did not do a thing! I went to sleep early because Jonah (our baby) was scared of all the noise of the fireworks, this happens when you are a mom.

2. I made several resolutions concerning my Spirituality (hope I will be able to fulfill them) as well as related to make a significant amount of money so we can plan in migrating.

We had a quiet evening doing what we do every year. Our best friends had a baby on New Years Eve in 2002 and so we go over and celebrate New Years/Bday! It is filled with tons of games, noise and laughter-which I think is great (at times)! Between my best friend and I-we have 10 kids and our Trio of Friends adds 4 more! Oh and a ton of food! We potluck it.

For goals in general--
I would have to say "health/weight loss" and spiritual advancement in growing and learning. Our family motto this year is "Walking Narrow & Straight in 2008"

My family every new year eve goes to perkins to have pancakes on the stroke of midnight. It is a tradition we started with our kids to ring in 2007. We will do this every year that we can.

My goals in general for this year is to get more healthy.

Yum, that sounds good KNtoran, unfortunately we don't have any pancake houses that stay open that late, but I love pancakes, I think it's great that you do that... maybe we'll make some at home when New Year comes around.
