Minding Your Own Business Vs Getting Involved

This thread was created to assess how individuals react when they see a complete stranger, being tormented by others.

An obese woman in her early thirties, is sitting all alone on a park bench eating a sandwich and reading a book. A group of male teenagers quickly approach her and begin to tease her about her size. You are either passing by or sitting on a bench opposite this woman and you hear all the cruel remarks being made. What would you do? If the bullies were female teenagers or kids (boys and girls, ages 9-12 years old), would this make a difference, in how you would react? What are your views on this?

Involved Vs Business Your Minding

I would get involved. I would say something to get their attention of him or her. They do not deserve to be picked on because they are different. IF they pick on this person because they are too tall or too short what is going to happen to the next person the find who if different.

It all comes down to the parents. We live in a big world nowadays and everyone is different in this way or that. In order to survive you need to be able to look pass the differences. If your unable to get past the differences you may miss the answer you are looking for.
