What were they? Aliens? Demons? or Angels? According to legend they were Water Sprites or Faires, and my instinct to run away saved either my life or my soul. |

maybe you were half awake with your subconscious in control. If you weren't supposed to be there then you drifted off with that thought and it played on you. |
Rather off topic, but... p.s. I don't get why the quotes didn't work. |

Interesting information OneTrueSteve from what you stated I have to think harder on what or who is really making contact. After all would such a creature not be describe as an "angel" if in beauty if nothing else.
So one has to ask are they just appearing in the most acceptable form so as not to scare us? Is it possible the are creature based not of form like a human at all but a being of energy that can be forced to a solid form as required. Is it just a image projected into our mind? Perhaps but I tend to think they would have appear eons ago in their natural state.
Harkon I think I understand your view on Christ being magical but no Christians will say that is true. It is a divine power of God that is wielded is the thought of the church. Now for me I can see how his abilities are magical.
Magic power is just using the existing forces around us to accomplish a predetermined end. A healing or divine communication could be examples of this.
I stand behind this as I feel god created the natural forces around us or maybe they existed at the time of creation and were the tools he directed. The creative energies used then still exist and since we can draw on the power of god (as proclaimed by the bible.), thus we do have the ability to tap into the forces around us. As such "magic" still exists. How do I know this? Are people still not divinely healed some by touch other though the will of God and power of prayer.
The Power of the Universe, the Force, the Love of God are just our descriptions of a Cosmic Being that is. Our very atoms are a model of the Universe which is a molecular enormity in a Natural interface with the Divine.
We are pixels in the mosaic that is blown across time and space.
What we know can be written on a humming bird's feather, but our consciousness is as vast as shadow cast by our sun.
We may never be aware of all the beings we share our space with, but I am sure we can learn from at leat each other.

These siths or Fairies, which the call sluaghmaith or the good people: it would seem, to prevent the dint of their ill attempts; for the Irish usually bless all they fear harm of and are said to be of a middle nature betwixt man and Angel, as were daemones thought to be of old: [are] of intelligent Studious Spirits, and light changeable bodies like those called Astral, somewhat of the nature of a condensed cloud, and best seen in twilight. These bodies are so pliable through the subtlety of the spirits that agitate them, that they can make them appear or disappear at pleasure. |
I once read what I thought was an innocent book; "The Pilgrimage" by Paulo Coello.
In the book the main character is taught to call his "Agent" or his guide.
At the end of the chapter there is an exercise for the reader to do the same.
The book is based on Catholic Occultism.
What is really disturbing is that the "Agent" they are calling is in fact the Devil!
I recognize the archetype from the Tarot card; a spirit sitting between two pillars of fire.
This book is at least irresponsible, if not very dangerous for the vulnerable.
People should be careful what they read.
