Psychology Of Criminals 2

Jealous lovers who, though egocentric or immature, are not psychopathic.

In other words they act on impulse, but I wonder, does this mean there is truly a thin line between love and hate?

Notes about this Topic: There was a documentary called, "Most Evil" (Discovery Channel) with forensic psychiatrist Michael Stone who rates murderers on a scale of evil that he developed. This is one of many Threads with the same title I would like to Discuss.

Are we talking of a person killing because they found their partner in bed with another as in a crime of passion here?

Yes, I believe so, but there is no indication that it has to be so shocking, it could be that they just saw their lover speaking with someone in 'too friendly' a manner. The reason I say this is because if you come home and catch a man in bed with your wife and you kill the man then most will say this is justified and not out of jealousy per se. Given that this act, in level 2 is about immaturity then I will say my example is more fit.

If it is finding your mate in bed with another then you can get off with a heat of the crime defense. But usually in that type of murder it is a double murder. Most will kill their spouse and the spouses lover.

If we look at it as just a jealous person who murders because he/she saw their spouse talking to or hanging out with someone of the opposite sex. Then it is a murder. Nothing is harder to deal with than jealousy. I think there are a lot of jealous people out there in this world. I think you should trust in your spouse enough not to worry about them if they are with a member of the opposite sex.

Isn't jealousy considered insecurity? I don't know if I could love someone so much that I could kill over it.

Then we will not have to worry about hearing about you killing someone over jealousy or insecurity. There are a lot of people out there I would say mainly male who can not stand to see their spouse or girlfriend even associate with another male. I know a lady who just got divorced from a guy who is like this. He would call her or drive by her work just to make sure she was not talking to another male. I have advised her to get a restraining order from him. He has been told not to come to her work sight by the police.
