It has been reported that his condition isn't too serious. Hopefully he'll be back to normal soon!

The Prince has had a lot of bad press over the years.
One theory is that if the Nazis had won the war, he would not be less better off. Wasn't the Queen's uncle an SS officer?

I think all those stupid Nazi rumours are bang out of order. Whatever a person's opinion on the Royal family and their German origins may be, nothing can take away from the fact that Prince Phillip served with distinction in the ROyal Navy for a number of years, graduated from Britannia Royal Naval College in Dartmouth as the best student in his year, and went on to get the XO position (2nd in command) of a ship aged 21, making him one of the RN's 2nd in commands up until that point. He then subsequently went on to become the XO of a second vessel, whilst serving as a Young Officer.

People might well say that he wouldn't have been worse off under a Nazi government, however he is the Royal figurehead of this country, he is a retired Royal Naval officer, a patriot and a vetron like any other.
