Removal is sought of 8 FLDS kids again Texas child welfare authorities have filed court papers asking a judge to put eight children from the Fundamentalist LDS Church's YFZ Ranch back into foster care. Child Protective Services claims it is because the mothers have refused to limit the children's contact with men involved in underage marriages, suggesting the families are being uncooperative. Ref. It is things like this that make news interesting. I agree that CPS did not do a good job in the first place but now they are trying to save face. SO of course they would be watching all the things the FLDS did and ready to pounce at the slightest hint of a child in possible need.
More FLDS indictments today?
ELDORADO, Texas - A grand jury investigating alleged crimes within the Fundamentalist LDS Church will meet here again today, with the possibility of more indictments being handed up. Six men, including FLDS leader Warren Jeffs, have already been indicted on charges ranging from sexual assault to bigamy and failure to report child abuse. If evidence entered into court in nearby San Angelo is any indication, more members of the Utah-based polygamous sect can expect to face criminal charges.
