Comments: It reminds me of a story:
A psychiatrist was administering a Rorschach ink blot test. Every time his patient was asked what he saw in an ink blot he would respond with something sexual. This went on throughout the entire test. At the end the psychiatrist sighed:
"Sir, if all you can see in these blots is sexual imagery then you have a real problem."
The patient replied:
"I have a problem? No YOU have a problem, showing me all those filthy pictures."
And that's my take on the Hall's ad.
I thought someone might want to bring up that argument, BUT we are not led to believe we are the only ones who will be led in this direction. This is seen when the son and father enters the room and they are shocked by what they see, even the father drops the basket of clothes he is holding - in other words something is wrong with the picture they are seeing. Additionally, if you think it is normal for a young boy and an older woman to stand opposite each other starring for no apparent reason other than him passing a sweet to her then there is definitely "a real problem".
They don't only stare at each other but they kind of make noise with their lips while the boy says "Sooo juicy, Mouth watering...I wonder if she likes it?"
It is interesting to notice though they did not choose your typical model-like woman but an average "mom" for the ad, that makes the whole ad even creepier because it reminds me of the so many cases we see on TV about teachers having sex with students. That's the first thing that came to my mind when I saw the ad as well as the light resemblance of the mother and the boy to the real case of Mary Kay Letourneau

Comments: I was appalled by the ad. I'm a mother of four teenage boys, and one girl. I don't go to forums alot, but after seeing the ad I was curious to see if others are as offended as I am. I did find several sites that are upset about the ad but, to my dismay, much fewer than I expected. Let's reverse the ad with a father figure and a young woman. I am sure it would have been taken off the air from the backlash. I think the ad is completely disgusting and will not by Hall's products again over it. I agree that they purposely made an attempt to resemble recent events in the teacher/student case. Anyways, SHAME on them!
