Restaurant Review: Try Mambos for Cuban cuisine in Jacksonville Beach
The mambo is a beautiful dance to watch and, for the untrained (or uncoordinated), difficult to perform. Mambos Cuban Bistro is a restaurant with a lot of potential but needs a bit of refining in the kitchen before it has all of its steps mastered.
The food is authentic - the owner's mother even makes the flan, Tres Leches and other desserts. The selections fit the cuisine without being cliche.
Mambos is in a promising location on Third Street in Jacksonville Beach. The somewhat hidden but easily accessible free rooftop parking provides diners with a place to stow the car even on the busiest of nights in the area's entertainment district. Ref. Source 9
