Welsh beaches plagued by plastic

Beaches in Wales have more plastic litter than any other country in the UK, an annual beach survey finds.

I'm really surprised by this, and would say that I have seen littering on some of the Welsh beaches in heavy tourist areas- but no more than any other seaside destination that has a huge attraction to tourists!

There are still hundreds of Welsh beaches that remain unspoilt, and retain their beauty,
when talking about littered beaches, Wales doesn't spring first to my mind anyway.
