One of England's newest universities is running tailor-made degrees in the management of selling beds.

I know everyone finds it really funny how ridiculous the BRitish degrees are getting, but it really is very annoying for people like me who are working our backsides off 24/7 trying to get good academic degrees, yet in the long-run the degree is now worth less because so many people are entering higger education, albeit to study micky mouse degrees like this one

It is not just the degrees, you guys are changing the 'A' levels, introducing Diplomas and making a lot of radical changes. What was once considered the premier Education system of the world is now under great scrutiny. Maybe a change of the Education Ministry is needed?

Why not refer to it as a "Degree In Sales" or "Degree in Marketing"?

Perhaps if you go to a bed retailer then you are more likely to get a job with the specific antics in the title, but honestly this sounds like something that would come out of a degree mill.

I have seen the amount of work that you have to put in, and I must say that it does seem really unfair that people can get degrees in something that so obviously doesn't need a degree- it's clearly about revenue brought in, and to say how many British citizens have a degree- whether it be a warranted one or not!

The government need to get their act together!

I can almost guarantee that people on this course won't be only getting 3-4 hours sleep a night whilst they slog their guts out all night to complete their course work!
Very unfair in my opinion.

I think there needs to be some changes in the educational leadership. If one can get a degree in bed sales then does that mean one can get a degree in pan handling? This is what it looks like from my point of view?
