Greetings,
My name is Arrwyn Cliona Odhalt, I am 55 and currently live in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, USA. I've loved RPG since high school more than 30 years ago. Right now I am not in a position to be able to get to the gaming room, I live in the country and have no transportation. Online RPG is my only outlet for this creative part of my day. I was excited to find The World of Medieval because most of the other rpg games I've found on the net are supercilious or juvenile. Most of the games I've seen are run by teen agers or "20 somethings" at best. They lack the creative ability to be role driven instead of action driven. I'm looking for a more mature game.
When I'm not role playing, I write science fiction, fantasy, horror fiction and articles on "New Age" topics. I also do "hand work", crocheting and am learning to make chain mail. I have owned my own costume design business with an staff of 1.5 (my daughter sometimes does some of the hand needle work for me) for six years. I specialize in the "Gothic Era" period costumes and also have produced clothes for the current "Goth" craze. (Believe me, pleather is not the nicest thing to try to sew.)
If I get a chance to go out, I like trying new restaurants, no "dive" is too low no "haute couture" is too refined. I also enjoy seeing a movie and then going for "coffee" to discuss it. I like to go fishing, boating, I garden when I can (getting harder as I have Osteoarthritis and Fibromyalgia)I enjoy rides in the country and I am devoted to my 19 year old daughter, Ashley, and our cats, Isis and Mooney.
Greetings RPGer
We have FOUR types of RPGs here, which one are you interested in:

So... which RPG are you interested in?
Thank you, Zydir, JB, Krusten and Kntoran for your welcome. I've made my 30 posts but my percentage of participation is down as I have been on vacation without access so I'll wait until I'm back up before I ask entry to Age of Medieval.
I'm most interested in this game as I am most accustomed to playing traditional D&D which stops short of the age of gunpowder. I find games involving powder weapons and more advanced armament a little confusing, although I have played a "magical" future game once which was fun. I played "Mouse" who was a normal teen aged girl who just happened to know how to get into anything anywhere. She was an urban shaman. It was fun.
I have been reading the threads in Age of Medieval and believe I have a "handle" on the game play but I'm still thinking about my character.
I do have a question ... can we have multi-tasked characters? My favorite character from my table top games is a rogue/shaman. I'm thinking of bringing her over to this game.
