What are your thoughts about the Minister of National Security's thoughts on crime in Trinidad & Tobago?

Speaking in the budget debate in the House of Representatives, Dillon said he was not happy with the murder rate, which increased by 4.2 per cent this year. The minister said there were 350 murders so far this year. He said the Police Service had given the motives for some of these murders, with the top reason being gang-related, which accounted for 99 murders.
He said 60 murders were drug-related; 49 murders were motivated by revenge; 23 were the result of domestic violence; and 29 were the result of altercations. Ref. Source 7s.

Comments: We really don't want to hear the facts and figures about more murders on this island by politicians, as most of us are full up to the neck with this type of repeated information.
What we want is the immediate reinstatement of the death penalty and the commencement of hangings now, other wise the government could look forward to spending a fortune on building new prisons to house all the forthcoming caught murderers.That is of course,is if the police ever catches them.We are just going around in circles where murders and serious crimes are concerned on this island.
