Why do you still use the Internet Explorer Browser?
This is not a review about the Browser itself (my mind is already made up about how crappy it is) as there are other threads that handle that, this thread asks the question "Why do you still use it? Especially knowing that it is full of hacker holes and is not good at handling some basic elements of the web?
Offtopic but, If you are looking to move to a different browser then I strongly suggest you go with Mozilla Firefox (see other reviews about it within this Board). |
I use IE at school, because that's the only one on the computers here, and I am not allowed to install an alternative. At home, we use it on my grandparents' computer, because it would take them a long time to learn how to use a different browser. I just don't have time to help them change over right now.
I love IE. That is why I use it. I cannot be bothered to use one browser to surf and another to update my PC. Also, I know that all web pages are going to be written to work with it since it is used by the vast majority of people.
I do not disable anything. It just isn't a realistic option. There are business related sites my users access that require these features in order for them to work properly. I don't really have an option at work. However, I have a very secure firewall which I believe offers me a great deal of protection.
