Nurse sacked after smacking son
A former school nurse is to take legal action after she was arrested then sacked for smacking her son at home.

I do agree no parent should every be arrested for a smack on the back side when it is required. But the issue here is would she do the same to another's child? That is a no no and her track record to me says all any one needs to know. She does not hit other children.
I don't know how this case went so far. It is not illegal to smack your child at home- if done lightly, (it becomes illegal if any marks or bruises are left)
It is an offence to smack your child in public, but this doesn't seem to have been the case.
It is wrong that this boy can bring so much disruption to his own family, when his Mother is clearly trying to stop him from becoming a teenage delinquent!
Everybody is in uproar over the way the young of today behave, but it's not really that surprising when parents are told how they can and cannot raise their children, and children know that they can cause trouble by 'crying assault' whether this be the case or not.
