Female Indy Driver
In the gritty, testosterone-fueled world of car racing it's all Danica, all the time.
At 23 Danica Patrick is not only the sole woman racing in Sunday's Indianapolis 500, she's the second-youngest driver on the circuit. Oh, and another thing: She's fast.
Only the fourth woman to race in the big event in its 89-year history, Patrick outran every male driver in Friday's final practice at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
"If she wins, it could mean so much" to the Indy Racing League, said Tony Kanaan, the polewinner and reigning league champion. "That's a lot of weight for a little girl to carry on her back."

Speaking of weight, a lot of the male drivers are complaining that Danica has an unfair advantage in that she is much smaller than most of the drivers on the tour. I think some of them have gone as far to file a protest about it. To me, this is ridiculous, and just evidence that a lot of these drivers don't want a female on the tour. What do they want her to do; strap on extra weight while in the car?
That is laughable and most likely a ploy to get women into a 'golf' situation. Even if it were realistic what are they going to do - try and get former jockeys to drive cars because they are lighter? I hope Danica beats them all - or at least a goodly number of them.

INDIANAPOLIS -- The Andretti jinx is over at the Indianapolis 500. Danica Patrick's reign is just beginning.... Patrick became the first woman to lead at Indy, getting out front three separate times for a total of 19 laps. Still, the 23-year-old rookie shrugged off the notion that her showing was a victory for women in racing. |

What are your thoughts about Danica Patrick (March 25, 1982 in Beloit, Wisconsin, USA) who recently won a major race?

Did you look at here Sports Ill. Swimsuit photos. I know she is a nice looking gal and needs some sun but she still has a the weight factor on her side when they are factoring how far she can go on a fuel up. I remembering they are taking the drivers weight into consideration this year on the vehicles overall weight.
