To the sex dens of T&T
...Colombian sex workers coming to Trinidad to ply their trade, this thousand-mile journey is as harrowing as the lives they leave behind. Reaching their destination and taking up work, the risks continue for these Colombian prostitutes as local police, conducting an obligatory raid or two on the brothels of South and Central Trinidad, could round them up and throw them in prison for entering Trinidad "through an illegal port of entry". But for these women, prison is paradise compared to what they've endured to come here, pushed by the poverty and cruelty in the barrios of Bogota.

I think the question is why would a Colombian woman not try to get their family our of a place that is a living hell.
There is no more determined person in the world then a woman trying to protect or provide for her loved one. In places where most men would bail you will find the woman still gritting her teeth fighting the battle with the kids in tow.
These women are heroines not scum and have endured more then any should have to. It is places like this I wish the UN would wipe out and re-establish better governments.
