Obamacare achieving its goal: single payer
Anyone who cared to think a little deeper than 'free healthcare for all', quickly found that Obamacare would drive private insurers out of business. The first wave of that is already happening, and once again the insurers will be vilified. When you look at it as "Healthcare for everyone" it's very obvious that Article 1 Section 8 supports the idea. The peoples health is the general welfare. Extrapolating one could argue that the costs of providing that would outweight the benefits of the program. But it is constitutionally supported, and thanks to our congress, this will not be passed unless it can be proven over 100 pages that it doesn't cost more then it is worth.
Can you feel that? Obamacare kicks in today
Ahhh, and all the medical issues in America vanish just like that! As if this needed to be pointed out, big new changes courtesy of Obamacare begin today. Look for Obama administration officials to wait a good week or two before they start claiming America's healthcare system is now perfect. Glenn has more on radio today. Ref. Source 7
Sorry...got news for you. The healthcare for everyone has been passed and they didn't even really check on if it would cost more than it is worth before voting on it. That has been the major victory for Obama and Pelosi. However, the news coming out of the federal government now (while hushed) is that it will actually cost you more now for your healthcare than it had before. So much for cost cutting or actually controlling costs! OH...and a good deal of that is going to the massive government overhead that is being created with this program.

It has always amazed me that a first world nation like the US cannot give free health care considering the enormous amount of taxes that is taken from her citizens. I can understand that maybe specialized care should be paid for by the individual especially when it is as a results of the person's own carelessness with their body BUT emergency situations should be taken care of without being asked "Who is your health insurer?".

Federal health care laws for 2011 start to kick in
This year's changes include guarantees that at least 80 percent of premiums will be spent on patient care, Medicare recipients will get drug discounts and free preventive care, and chain restaurants will post calorie counts. But higher-income seniors may face some pricier Medicare premiums and flexible spending accounts can't be used anymore to buy nonprescription drugs. Ref. Source 7
