Subject: Admission requirements for Lakshmi Hindu college in Trinidad
Message: My daughter will be returning to T&T to assist with the care of her bed-ridden father for a prolonged time period. She expects to bring her two children - girl Priya is age 12 and boy - Nicholas is age 15 (to stay with her).
Issue #1.
What is the admission requirement for your school?
Both of these children are US citizens, however both of the parents were born in T&T. The children has spent all summer long since they were born in T&T and has visited twice for 2009 already. They expect to return in July.

By the way, as an update. I had to go there some months ago to collect some papers and I found the Lakshmi Girls' Hindu College staff very hospitable and at least the one teacher I interacted with cordial and timely.

Comments: Lakshmi Girls' Hindu College is a pretty great school, I went there a few years ago. Its not exactly the best though (that's just my opinion) However it did provide a great learning experience for me while a was there and I enjoyed being in Lakshmi.
According to TV6 News two bandits stormed the Lakshmi Girls' Hindu School looking to get away from police - one was caught and the other got away. Parents of children at Lakshmi Girls were fearful for their children at the school, but it seems that everything was handled in a controlled and professional manner.
I am glad to hear nobody got hurt. Just the thought of being a girl's school and bandits entering the compounds give me the shivers. What the heck is going on with this country? There is no place where you can say it is safe!
