Yes, you read that right. Every year in May and September Nevada Route 318 hosts an unlimited speed race on a desolate 94 mile stretch. The record is an unbelievable 208 miles per hour!

Wow, no limit racing! I would love to both race in that and be in that race. I have never been over 100 miles per hour in a car, and even the ninety miles per hour I went was only for a little bit in a rental car. This race is also very dangerous as no one can predict the perils of the real road. In this race, it very much depends on the designer and builder of the car as well as the driver. If a car can't hit those high speeds for long periods of time, you won't win.

Nice! A closed road and away you go! Do you have any links for this? I hope all safety gear is required! Man wish I still had my brothers Chevy Monte Carlo it was a great runner! 150 mph not sure how long it would hold but was not to the floor! It handled like a dream to boot.
