Postal Worker Rescues Tot From Sudden Death

Lisa Harrell, US Postal Service worker received an unexpected surprise on Monday 21 April 2008. She noticed a one year old baby on a window and next thing she knew, the baby fell and landed in her arms. What makes this story so amazing is Harrell was not on her normal route: according to Postmaster David Yanni, Harrell was not supposed to be there at that particular time. Talk about God sending an angel to save that baby! Here are more details on this report:

I am glad that she was there to save the baby but what the mother thinking. Lets place the baby on a bed that is up against a open window? I believe the mother is not very smart if she did not see something like this coming.

What I considered shocking about this report is, why didn't the relevant authorities charge the mother (or parents) of the tot, for negligence?

Yeah I have wondered about that too. I guess since no harm came to the child then "no harm no foul" attitude came into play.
