TOYS 'R' US FLIP-FLOPS, GIVES 3 BABIES NEW YEAR PRIZE
After coming under fire for denying a Chinese-American infant a $25,000 prize in a New Year's baby contest because her mother was not a legal U.S. resident, the Toys "R" Us company said that it had reversed its decision.

I should think that the company did do a U-turn on this one. They were still paying the money out anyway, so really as the baby was born an American citizen, it shouldn't really have come into account the status of the Mother's birth!
It was also a very bad financial move in my opinion, as toys r us had only recently opened their first store in China!
