Pine Beetle Threat

Our vast forests in the West are being devastated by this little fellow. This is tragic as we are losing a great oxygen supply and gaining a carbon supply! Canada is now being faced with a pollution source that is 5 times greater then its auto industry!
We might be unable despite all the effort up to know to meet our emissions reduction to fight the global warming effects. Could this mean other countries stop buying from us? With a recession already on our door step I hope not.

Threat Beetle Pine
I think over all the forests will not be reduced over time but the beetles will still cause many trees to be producing CO2 instead of O2. I believe that other trees will replace some of the trees and Canadas north and west will continue to give the earth a lot of O2 maybe for a bit just not as much.
