Title: Trinidad vs USA
Comments: In my opinion, places like Trinidad where criminals have the upper hand and there is so much lawlessness accompanied with a perpetual false sense of security with practically all citizens living in fear is definitely not the sort environment to bring up children if you want them to be normal.
The repercussion of our environment is even beginning to reflect in the behavior of our school children here, which has become very noticeable with the trend in their behavior towards violence which is now accompanied by other criminal activities.
Not only that, all we have to do is look around us to see the bad attitudes and tendency towards dabbling in crime and lawlessness by many of our citizens that have been born and bred here since our independence. Many born in this era expect something for nothing and seem to accept this as an only means of survival, thus our high rate of all profitable crimes here.
All of our present killers, hardened criminals and lawless citizens were bred in the last 50 years here.As for bringing up a child in the USA you could end up facing the same problems that are encountered here. It all depends on where you live in America. As to being poor in either country, in America, there are a tremendous amount of opportunities for the poor educated and ambitious to improve their status, whereas here, you will be considered lucky if you find any rewarding employment offering a worthwhile career.despite having a good education and being ambitious.
