Pres. Bush Conducting Military Band
Did anyone here see the 94th Annual Correspondents' Dinner where Pres. Bush Conductied the US Marines Military Band? This is one of the things I like about the US, even their President can do something unique, different from the norm. Did you enjoy watching?

Wow, I'm really glad you mentioned this- I hadn't seen it before so I looked it up on youtube. Bush had quite a number a jokes- I especially like the "I'm sorry if I'm tired, the red phone rang at 3am.... It was the wedding planner."
I thought it was really funny that he conducted the band- though we really didn't need the audience to clap, it normally eventually gets out of tempo and while the band doesn't screw up because they're too good for that, it screws me up.
Though I won't ever be apart of that band I look forward to being apart of that family- to being a part of the US Marine Corps. And ya know, those guys in the band can enlist at the rank of Staff Sergeant- that's E-6 pay grade, I'm jealous, but then again I'm not that good at playing my trombone either.

I didn't see it but I'm not sure what the point of it would be. I guess its nice to see a President versatile enough to do something like that, but I'd rather pay for cheaper gas thanks.
