Does anyone remember Operation Fast and Furious, where the Obama administration sold thousands of illegal guns to the mexican cartels in order to push anti-gun legislation in the US? How they instructed dealers to make sales to people without ID? The US is at least partially culpable for drug cartels, since prohibition inflated the mafia's coffers, why not ban as many drugs as possible? There's huge money in prohibition.
