You are in a strange town where you do not know who to trust, but you must trust someone. They have given you genuine reasons to be mistrustful of them, and you know you have not lost your mind. I will say the policeofficer since I speak their language and I feel more comfortable speaking to a officer of the law above all others. I have been in strange places some places that one may not wish to find themselves. I have even to places where they have told me I would not be able to talk to policeofficers because they will not talk to the average citizen. In all cases I have gone up to officers of the law and have nice conversations with them and had no problem on getting any information I needed. I it interesting stepping out of your car in neighborhoods that have bars on all windows and you have to talk to people through glass and exchange money through a sliding slot like a drive up window in a bank. Going right up to the police in this area was very easy for me. My family waited for me in a locked car.
